 Exploitation of Children

Scrap book

Aim: To record and remember good things about your childhood. You will need: A book (such as a blank exercise book), things to stick in e.g. photos, tickets, postcards etc. Duration: 1 hour (plus time to gather items and information)

Most of us are fortunate enough to have a happy and safe childhood. There are probably lots of things about our childhood we want to celebrate and remember.

Make a scrapbook to record your childhood - include photos, pictures, tickets from events and journeys, postcards, letters and so on. If you are still young you can start to make your record now, and add to it as you get older. If you are older, gather together items you have kept over the years and arrange them all in your scrap book.

  • Ask your family for their memories of you when you were a baby.
  • Ask your parents when you first walked/spoke/got your first tooth/started school.
  • List your favourite things and your best friends.
  • Write down your hopes for the future.

Keep your book somewhere safe, and keep adding to it. Maybe you will be able to show your book to your own children in years to come!
