 (Un)fair trade

Fairtrade poster

Aim: To promote Fairtrade. You will need: Paper, coloured pens/pencils/crayons. Duration: 30 minutes

Design a poster encouraging people to buy fairly traded goods. 'Fairtrade' means farmers are paid a fair price for their goods, rather than the minimum possible price. There are lots of goods that are now sold through the Fairtrade system such as coffee, tea, honey, sugar, bananas, fruit juice and lots more.

Tell people about the producers, and the country where the goods are grown. Remind them of the benefits of fairtrade, and the quality of the goods. You could mention any local shops which sell fairtrade goods, so people know where they can buy them.
