 About the project

Global Village Youth Festival launched at IFM Congress

Voting at IFM Congress 2004

The Woodcraft Folk is to host its first IFM International Camp since 1946, when other member organizations from all over the world come to Britain in the summer of 2006.

Delegates at the XXIIIth Congress of the International Falcon Movement listened enthusiastically as Woodcraft Folk chair, Tamsin Pearce, outlined the plans for the event. It will be sixty years since the Woodcraft Folk last hosted an IFM event, said Tamsin, and we are really excited about the prospect of young people from as many as 50 countries coming to Britain to take part in this camp.

At its meeting in April 2004, the Folks General Council adopted a plan for the Global Village project which will include a youth conference and leaders seminar in the summer of 2005, an interactive web-site full of activities to introduce groups to the themes of the project, and the Global Village Youth Festival, under canvass in 2006.
