The International Campaign to Ban Landmines gives you 10 actions you can take for a mine-free world. You could write to one of the countries that have not signed up to the landmine treaty, sign up to the Youth Against War Treaty or sponsor a mine detection dog. Click on the link for more ideas.

Control Arms is a campaign jointly run by Amnesty International, IANSA and Oxfam. Their 'Million Faces' petition collecting photos and self-portraits of people all around the world will demonstrate to governments that we need effective and urgent action to control the arms trade crisis. The aim is to collect one million faces by 2006 to persuade the world's governments to sign up to a global Arms Trade Treaty. Visit the site to add your picture today.

Visit the website of the Coalition to stop the use of Child Soldiers. Find out how you can take action by urging your government to sign and ratify the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, on the involvement of children in armed conflict. You can also participate in letter-writing action appeals four times a year.
