 Conflict and peace

Peace cards

Aim: To make a peace card to express peace and friendship.
You will need: Card, pens, crayons, pencils, other items for decorating, scissors and glue.
Duration: 30 minutes

For us to have a peaceful society, we have to start with ourselves. This means getting on well and building strong links with other people. This activity is to make a Peace Card to give to someone special - it could be for your friend, your family, a neighbour, a teacher etc.

Decorate the card with pictures to do with peace and friendship. Write a message inside telling the person inside that they are special to you. Make sure you deliver the card to your special person.

This is a reassuring, positive activity to do with younger children after you have spent time on more difficult topics such as war and fighting.
