Individuals like you are an important part of how the world is run. Governments, international institutions and corporations all have a lot of power in the world, but so do people. When ordinary people get together to make a difference, they can achieve amazing things.

- Join groups you are interested in
- Encourage other local people to support projects and campaigns
- Get your voice heard through local radio and newspapers
- Work with likeminded people to achieve positive change
It is great to work with other people and feel that you have a common bond. At the same time it is also good to be individual. Sometimes it seems that corporations want us all to be the same - watching the same films, wearing the same clothes, reading the same magazines and so on. We all have individual interests and styles so here are some ideas to help express your individuality:
- Design your own outfit, make your own clothes, add your own accessories
- Read magazines about your interests and hobbies, find books by different authors that you enjoy, write your own novel
- Watch foreign films, listen to music from other countries, compose your own music
