 Prejudice

Campaigning

Animated logo

There are a number of campaigns that aim to fight different types of prejudice. The problem is that many people who are prejudiced are ignorant about the issues they are prejudiced about. Educating and informing people is thought to be one of the best tools against prejudice.
When I gave food to the poor, they called me a saint. When I asked why the poor were hungry, they called me a communist.

Dom Helder Camara

It is important that it is not only the people suffering from discrimination who should be campaigning. We should all be concerned when anyone is suffering from discrimination, and try to make a difference. If you are involved with a campaign against prejudice write to share your story with other young people on the website.

Have a look at these campaigns combating prejudice. Many of them are focused on discrimination in the UK. If you know about good websites from other countries please let us know.
