Starting with me
Hopefully if you are reading this it means you have been lucky enough to go to school. In poorer countries not all children get this opportunity. One of the reasons is that the governments do not have enough money to provide schools or pay the teachers.
This week, show your teachers that you appreciate them.
- Say thank you
- Tell them when you have enjoyed a lesson
- Behave well in your lessons
- Listen when they are talking to you
- Hand your homework in on time
Teachers are not the only people we learn things from. We also learn from our family and friends, and they learn things from us. Do you prefer to learn or to teach? If you enjoy learning, but do not like to show others how to do things, try and do the opposite this week. Everyone has skills to share.
Alternatively, if you are usually telling people about things, try asking a friend to teach you something instead. You never know what you might learn.
