Visit a School

IMAGE: School classroom

Have you ever been inside another school as a visitor? You could ask to go and visit a school that you already have links with. Perhaps a friend's parent works in a school, or you have a relative who goes there.

Before your visit
Think about the kind of things are you looking for in a 'good' school.
What do you look at or listen to? The quality of building? The expressions on teachers' faces? The way children play or argue in the playground? The kind of displays they have around the school? The litter on the floor? The laughter and games being played? The way boys and girls are interacting?

After looking round the school
Consider your impressions of the school. Compare it to your own school, and what friends say about their schools. Think about what, for you, makes a good school?
