Aids ribbon
Aim:
To make a large red aids ribbon to display in your community
You will need:
A large piece of paper, and red pens, red paper and fabric scraps, red paint
Duration:
30 minutes
The red ribbon is the symbol of HIV/AIDS awareness around the world.
Make a huge red AIDS ribbon collage on a poster. Draw the outline of a large folded ribbon, and fill it in with different red materials. You could use different scraps of red paper and fabric, plus paint and pens to colour in parts. Use different shades of red to make it look interesting.
Add slogans around the outside about AIDS awareness.
Ask if you can display your ribbon poster somewhere in your community e.g. a library, a community centre, a doctor's surgery.
