Keeping healthy
Aim:
To design a poster to raise awareness about a health issue.
You will need:
Paper, coloured pens/pencils/crayons.
Duration:
45 minutes
Posters can help to give us messages and information. They are a good way for telling people to do things. Design your own poster to spread a message about how to keep healthy. The leader can give some suggestions about suitable topics (there may be more appropriate suggestions for your own context).
Some suggestions:
- Eat fresh fruit and vegetables
- Wash your hands before eating
- Avoid getting sun burnt
- Drink plenty of water
- Remember to brush your teeth
Decide what the main message is that you want to put across. Come up with some kind of short sentence or 'slogan' that you are going to use on the poster. Decide what picture will best emphasise your message.
You could display your posters in a place where your group meets, or even ask a doctor's surgery, clinic or hospital if they would be able to display it for more people to see.
