Programme Preview: Child Exploitation

In our centre, we'll have guests from near and far coming to run creative workshops looking at the theme of child exploitation.

Emmanuel Jal, a former child soldier from the Sudan turned international hip hop artist will tell his gripping story in one emotional session including films about the conflict.

This will be followed by three days of workshops and activities, working with Lucky Moyo an expert, in southern African gum boot dance, a technique developed by African mine workers who needed to communicate without speaking. Come along to the workshops and you'll get a chance to create songs and dance around the theme of children’s rights. workshops will develop and young people at

Global Village to create a performance based on children’s rights.

In addition, our friends from the Kent Development Education Association will be running creative arts sessions about the rights of a child for all ages, we will have a giant mural, craft activities and other creative ideas.
