Fear Brigade lanterns will light the way

Aleana Drybinskaya

“We can teach you to create your own stars and moons or even build your own Fear Engine,” says Mariam, the Chief Designer at the Fear Brigade, part of a team working on producing Engines. A Fear Engine is a magic vehicle to fight people’s fears and help them get rid of their phobias.
The Fear Brigade have a special recipe for making their lanterns.
First, willow branches are soaked in water for a couple of hours, until they get soft and you can bend them easily.
After that, they are shaped into various constructions and fixed together with tape.
“We are planning to generate about 150 Engines,” says Mariam, “and all the lanterns will be used in a magic procession on Monday night during the Fear Brigade show. If each town make at least ten Fear Engines or mabye fifteen stars moons, that would be a great contribution!”
