Issue 3 – Tuesday 1 August
Young Cooperators
Cooperatives are all around us. Sure there are the famous (and wonderful ... although they never have humus) local stores we see and use every day but there are also thousands of workers, housing, water, electricity and manufacturing co-ops around the world. These self-regulating, manager less establishments are fantastic examples of cooperation in action, but a lot of them lack one thing: youth!
So, with young cooperatives we’re going to change this and really put the Woodcraft Folk slogan ‘Education for Social Change’ into action.
With many already up and running at schools around Britain, young cooperatives have a good beginning.
We’re going to set up some right here at Globall Village, so look out for teams of young cooperators in your town marquee after the news, offering lovely little snacks and to teach you how to set up cooperatives.
You too can become part of these little autonomous cooperatives (and decide what food to order).
Just come to the co-op tent and we'll give you everything you need.
