Evan’s Evenings
Evan
Yes! Everything went off without a hitch in the Cornwallis, and – thankfully – Global Village does not have to descend into a gulf of grey, programmeless evenings, each more boring than the last.
I think you'll all agree, Big Hand rocked (or Ska-ed maybe, or scarred, well something like that – sounds painful)!
Tonight for ya’ll, we have the folky delights of singer songwriter Tracey Curtis on the main stage in Cornwallis.
The raucous fun of Waiting for Volkaertz, progressing from the snug of Tillyards to follow Tracey at 9:30 in the cavernous Cornwallis.
The seemingly inexhaustible Eric Maddern is running story-telling sessions at both 8:30 and 11:00 in Red Wolf, with the filling in this saga sandwich running from 9:45 to 10:45 in Tillyards.
A Co-op pub quiz will be run by the startlingy handsome, extremely intelligent and massively impressive Owen Sedgwick-Jell (Senior Co-operative Affairs officer for the South East region) hosting, which promises to be the height of excitement, as well as being educational (don't let this put you off). This will take place in Tillyards and is being undertaken with the promise of prizes (everybody say oooooohhhh – yep, that means you).
Yellow Parrot Marquee will play host to a film about Western Sahara, introduced by an international delegate, which highlights some of the issues troubling the vast sandy expanse and its populus, screened after the news at 8:30.
Our Brazilian delegation are once again displaying their talents in Indigo Snake town marquee, running a capoiera workshop, also starting after the news (even if it doesn’t run, the workshop will still be in there – damn those technical difficulties!)
The Groovy Movie shall be showing pharmaceutical thriller The Constant Gardener, introduced by a (almost guaranteed to be) sexy member of the PARTY team.
