How Allaming!

James Robson, V2

At 2 a.m. on Monday morning, two four-legged campers arrived at Global Village. These were llamas belonging to West Ridge Camelids, in association with Project Peru. Project Peru is a charity based in southern England which helps the poor and impoverished in Peru, especially by supporting a children's refuge in the capital, Lima.
The llamas, Shadow and Puka – that's the word for “red” in the Quechua language – are here to support the project, and are expected to go on a walk round GV06 today.
“As well as the llamas, we've got handicrafts from Peru to sell and an exhibition of traditional Peruvian customs,” said Maria Moore, a member of the project.
The project staff are asking that anyone who comes to visit the llamas and take photographs makes a small donation.
